Want to eat Authentic Masala Dosa in Bangalore? This is the best place for you.

One of the best place to have any South Indian dish, in fact.

Rate this:

South India is known for its meals starting from breakfast varieties of idli sambhar, masala dosa to lunch varieties like Bisi bele bhath and so on.

I am very fond of masala dosa(type of pancake made from fermented batter). Having had it in most other parts of India and many restaurants, I have found the perfect masala dosa now 🙂 Its been a while whenever I crave to have authentic masala dosa we happen to go in this restaurant known as MTR(Mavalli Tiffin Rooms). It is one of the oldest restaurant in bangalore. Having its presence in Singapore, Dubai and Muscat shows it is loved by the people. Check out their website if you want to know where it is located internationally ( www.mavallitiffinrooms.com )

“A legendary name in South Indian comfort food, this super-popular eatery has had Bengaluru eating out of its hands since 1924.”
— Lonely Planet

So next time if you feel like eating an authentic masala dosa and rava idli or vegetarian meal for lunch this is a perfect place for you. And guess what the price is very reasonable. We often spend thousands of rupees in big renowned hotels but feel like it was a waste finally. But if you happen to visit MTR you will be satisfied with the food.

Waiters here wear lungis(Sarong, is a traditional South Asian garment worn around the waist) and wear no slippers. They define the proverb perfectly which says ” workplace is like a prayer”.

What we ordered?

We ordered Masala dosa, Rava idli and Filter Coffee
